About Adobe Acrobat PDF (Portable Document Format) Formatted Files
One problem with distributing documents electronically is that there are so many different Word-processing versions and typefaces in use today. Adobe Acrobat solves this problem. Its PDF ( Portable Document Format) files preserve the layout, typeface sizes and pictures in a form that can be viewed and printed by anyone with the correct version of a free programme called Adobe Acrobat Reader. There are versions for Windows as well as Apple Macintosh and several other systems. It is also available as a "plug-in" to Internet browsers such as Netscape and Internet Explorer. To download your version free please use the link below. If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed as an application or as a plug-in in your web browser, you will only be allowed to view and print the document.
